Any way to change (spoof) modem MAC Address to ISP?
I'm looking to purchase CAX80 cable-modem-router, but would like to know if there is a way to change (or spoof) the modem MAC address as it appears to the ISP (comcast). I have an AC1600 cable-modem-router that works great, but was subject to DOS attacks that caused it to shut down about every 90 minutes. Comcast's only solution was for me to rent their modem to change the MAC address, which was the target of the DOS attack. Just want to make sure I can change the MAC address next time instead of buying new cable-modem-router. I'm also open to other suggestions to resolve this issue.

I don't believe so.

Thanks for the reply. I'm inclined to agree with you, but I did find this article. I haven't tried it and can't verify that it will work. I don't believe the fields they're asking to be changed are changeable. Again, many thanks...
