Before I buy: I have Verizon FIOS Fiber > ONT Then from ONT > Ethernet AND Coax to Verizon G1100
I have Verizon's bundled Internet/TV/Phone service. FIOS fiber comes into their I-211M-L ONT in my basement. The ONT splits out a coaxial for the TV cable service (3 boxes and an Verizon Actiontec WCB3000N Extender on the 2nd floor) and a GB Ethernet for Internet. The Coax and Ethernet go separatrely from the ONT to the Verizon Quantum G1100 router (also in my basement). FYI: a notebook plugged into a LAN port on the router gives me GB Down and Up speed. Wireless access around the house is slow and unreliable (2 story house). I would like to upgrade the Verizon G1100 and to an Orbi mesh network.
Plan A: Replace the G1100 router with a comparable Coax/Ethernet router. The Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band WiFi System would seem ideal. But, the datasheet does not list FIOS as one of the compatible Internet providers and indicates it is not compatible with cable bundled voice systems
Plan B: Leave the G1100 router connected from the ONT for Coax only. Add an Ethernet Orbi solution for a mesh WiFi network.
Before I buy, has anyone successfully eliminated the Verizon G1100 Coax/Ethernet router and connected a Netgear solution?

Something to ask the ISP about if thats possible. Some ISPs require the use of there HW.
Be sure you post about any Orbi questions here:

Or here for Orbi AX:

Good Luck.
