C3700-100 NAS Factory Reset doesnt bring equipment to Default mode

Router was installed 10 months ago. I have factory reseted it at least twice. Router IP always sets 192.X.X.X and DHCP assigns an IP Address to access it. My local pc has access to the internet, but i can't access the router.

IPconfig shows the gateway IP address, but I can't access it. I recall the default IP address after Factory reset was 192.X.X.X, but I have tried it twice and it keeps showing a different IP Address 173.x.x.x

For whatever the reason if that's the case, did you try that 173.x.x.x to log in? Maybe your reset button is faulty or it was noit really pushed...

Re: C3700-100 NAS Factory Reset doesnt bring equipment to Default mode

I did tryand i couldnt. I disconnected the coax cable and all worked well until i connect the coax back. If i unplug it, the router sets on the 192 ip and im able to set if up completely. Wifi, change pass, encription, etc.

After multilple trials, i notice the following:

If i connect the coax cable, since i need to reboot to refresh the wan ip. The router never comes back as a router, but as a modem. It sets into the 192.128.100.x and once i access it, the menu is very limited. If i set the router mode and reboots, it sets its ip back to 173...

If i connect the coax cable

IMO, the router side is OK but looks like modem is hosed up. Can you reset modem yourself?

Or you'd better contact your ISP support.

Hello josedager

Have you been able to resolve this issue?

Mine doesn't reset and Netgear has a giant backdoor exploit built into their firmware.
