C6250 5ghz light is on but it's not showing on my wifi list. SSDI is enabled.
I installed this modem/router today and the 5 ghz light is on steady, it's not showing up on my wifi list to chose to connect to. Half the neighborhood is on 2.4. I had an AC1750 installed until it quit on me Dec 15th, I bought this AC1600 from Best Buy. The AC1750 never needed any special attention or setting to show both 2.4 or 5 ghz. This one will only show 2.4. My speed is pretty slow at 28 but when connected via ethernet it's at 63 mbps. Charter is showing the signal is strong and working fine on their side. I've tried changing the channel in settings but it still won't show up. I haven't changed any settings except to change channels to no avail. It is physically located in the same exact spot the AC1750 was so it's not a location issue. Any suggestions?

Hello Krjdwills
If you have gone into the advanced settings then advanced setup and wireless settings and make sure the broadcast of the SSID is checked for the 5ghz if that is still not working try to factory reset the modem see if that resolves the issue.Last thing to suggest is to contact Netgear support they can replace it if the 5ghz is defective.
