C6250 just as a router?
I have been using the AC1600 WiFi Cable Modem Router(C6250) for a couple years now and I just upgraded my service, now I require a DOCSIS 3.1 modem and I dont want to pay a lot to get a 3.1 modem router. Can I just pick up a 3.1 modem and plug it into my C6250 using ethernet and expect the improved speeds of my new service through the wifi?
I want to know if this device can be used just as a router and if the better speeds will still come through.
Thanks for the help!

I moved your post to the correct forum area (you posted it in the ReadyNAS section).

No. Your gateway doesn't let you use one of the ethernet ports as a WAN (i.e. internet) port.
