C6300 Router and USB Drive
If I plug in a USB drive to the Netgear C6300 will it basically work as a network attached storage? I want to be able to access files on multiple macbook computers in my house. Thank you.

If the modem supports ReadyShare, then yes. Reivew the user manual for this information.

It does support readyshare. I don't know how fast of speeds I will get, but I will try it.

Re: C6300 Router and USB Drive
Ok, then it probably won't be seen by the modem. The USB port maybe for just printing devices.
You may want to get into something that support ReadyShare or maybe a entry level NAS unit. Once you try one of these, you'll never go back to USB.
Good Luck.
