C6900 - no RF signal XFINITY

C6900 - no RF signal XFINITY
Tried to swith out an xfinity arris to a nighthawk c6900.
Kept getting no RF signal ..... even though xfinity apparently activated the new device/MAC and reset.
Plugged the old router back in .... jhad them go back to that MAC and reset - alls good.
So - any ideas ?
I really want to move to a modem router that Im not paying $14 month for. But at the mercy of xfinity to a degree on the settings on their side also.

You might start with an oft-neglected resource:

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot". Pay particular attention to the
"WiFi On/Off button with LED". Did you press it? Further reading might
not hurt, either.
