C7000 Nighthawk not sending full LAN speed to switch?
Hi everyone, hopefully you all can help me out. I have a C7000 modem/router that has worked well for me the past year. We are doing a remodel, so I decided to run Cat6 to every room in the house, through a GS116 gigabit switch. My internet is 300mbps through Time Warner/Spectrum. When I connect my computer to the router directly and do a speed test, I get up to 350mbps, so the speed from the cable to the router seems good. Additionally, all of the ports seem to be recognizing gigabit speed between each other (both lights on the port light up), so all is good there. My problem is the connection between the C7000 and the switch. The switch shows only 100mbps connection from the router, which I can verify by doing speed tests on my laptop at each port...they pull about 80mbps. So it seems that although 300+ is coming into the router from cable, and the LAN ports are all capable of communicating with each other at 1000mbps, the router is bottlenecking the speed down to 100 into the switch. What am I doing wrong? A word of advice - I am a real newbie when it comes to this stuff, but I can follow instructions pretty well if there is a setting I need to confirm or switch.
Thanks so much, hopefully someone can help me figure out what's going on here.

Re: C7000 Nighthawk not sending full LAN speed to switch?
Check the cable between the router and the switch. All 4 pairs of wires are needed for Gigabit. You can also confirm that the C7000 port is running at Gigabit by looking at Show Statistics on the router.
