C7000v2 Firmware Update
I'd like to update the firmware on my C7000v2 Cable modem/wifi rounter. Everything here says firmware updates must be pushed from my ISP. However, I OWN the modem, not my ISP. So, they won't touch it, because it's not THEIR property. It's MY modem.
So... How can I get the latest firmware installed on a modem that I own??
The nighthawk app doesn't allow me to logon (the ever common timeout issue...)
Appreciate any thoughts or help.

Why?

So far as I know, everything everyplace agrees.

I'd stick with a web browser. Less Netgear software involved that
way.

Thoughts are easier than actual help in this case.

Your problem is unrelated to the problem which was being discussed in
this thread. Starting your own, new thread for your own, different
problem would have been better.
As explained above, you can't do that for a C7000; only a lame app
would suggest it.

That's a lame error message combined with a DNS "problem".

It's a lame app? What, exactly, does "not work at all" mean to you?
Do you have a problem with the app, other than that it advises you to
do a firmware update which would be impossible for you to do?

My guess is that your guess is wrong.

Expected more from Netgear than you're likely to get, in the way of
documentation and software quality?
