C7000v2
My Netgear C7000v2 router needs a firmware upgrade. When I enter the Netgear app, I see a screen saying "Firmware Out Of Date." There are two buttons: the first says "Open router login.net", which takes me to a website that tells me to download the app, which i already have. The second says "Connect with anywhere access", which when clicked on, displays the following message: "No devices available. to remotely manage a netgear router, enable the feature by connecting your routers wifi and then going to menu settings anywhere access within the app." Again, my wifi is working and I have the app installed, but I can't get to settings to establish anywhere access, because all I can access within the app is the firmware out of date page. Re installing the app has not helped.

That is an error in the app. (I thought they had fixed it months ago.) Ignore it.
The app should not tell you to update the firmware on a cable modem because you cannot update the firmware. That is down to your ISP.
Just another user with a set of boilerplate macros.
My network DM200 -> MK93; R7800 -> GS316 -> PL1000 -> R7000P
