CAX 80
Had a power outage, 9 month old nighthawk modem router did not come back on line ran through all the diagnostic and procedures for getting ping it functional. Finally called comcast, the tech couldn’t tell me what he did, just that it was back on line and it was “probably a power surge”. It was fine for a couple of days then went off line, no Ethernet, no wifi. Comcast shows it as operational, lights are all normal.
tried taking it offline for an extended period of time, going through all the on line diagnostics, appears to be a really expensive doorstop right now. Purchased a TP-Link unit that has been operating flawlessly for a couple of weeks.
let me know if there are any options other than never buying a Netgear again.
