CAX80 5G fails to send images on iMessage and other file upload issues
I have the Nighthawk CAX80 Gateway, firmware version V2.1.5.2, and hardware version 1.01
I've had my CAX80 router for about a year, and I have very mixed feelings about it. The main negatives are that we have had constant issues with the 5G network and that Netgear support is effectively non-existent.
When using the 5G network, one common issue is that photos won't sent on iMessage. They fail to upload and show 'not delivered', but trying to send the same image on 2.4G network or via cellular data works fine. Also, when using the 5G network random websites (usually involving file uploads) seem to be either blocked or throttled and do not work properly, but switching to ethernet or 2.4G works fine.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue with the 5G network?

Been in contact with NG support to see if they have a beta version that is supposed to fix this?

Re: CAX80 5G fails to send images on iMessage and other file upload issues
Since I've had the router for more than 90 days, when I try to open a support case the only options I'm given are to search their knowledge base or visit the community (here).
I called them, however, they said there was no beta firmware available and that I had the latest version. They also said they couldn't help more unless I purchased extended support, which I am unwilling to do. They did suggest modifying the DNS and channel settings on the router so I tried that but no luck.
I've seen several other conversations where other customers report the same issue, and none of them resolve the issue. It seems like this is a common issue with Netgear 5G signal and that their support does not take it seriously.
For now, I will live with 2.4G and Ethernet while I research non-Netgear products and hope that Netgear resolves the issue before I'm forced to make a change.
