CAX80 DOWNSTREAM LOCK
Hello,
I have been reading the many posts about the same issue I'm seeing with the CAX80, in which the downstream signal seems to lose the lock and never reconnects. Upon restarting the device, the lock is gained. Is there anyway to get a firmware update that can automate this process? Or has another resolution been discovered? In looking through previous issues on this topic, I can see that several others have the same issue with different ISP's. My ISP happens to be XFinity provisioned for Gig Internet.
Please let me know what's up. Thanks in advance for your time.

Re: CAX80 DOWNSTREAM LOCK
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

Re: CAX80 DOWNSTREAM LOCK
Problem with the "lock" is that your ISP has a lot of different channels it uses. When you reboot, you might be connecting to a different HZ of channels and then it be moving later depending on your CMTS from the ISP. Which is why sometimes a reboot can fix an issue when in reality, it doesn't fix it, it just puts your device on a good section of bandwidth for a period of time.
The cable connections page can help and so can the event logs.
