CAX80 Ethernet aggregation and 2.5g port SLOW
Have a Dell Powerconnect 5048 with sfp+ copper 1g/2.5g/10g plug ins.
have 900mbps internet speeds.
dell 5048 on latest firmware available
sfp+ adapters recognized as 10g capable
speedtest.net results are as follows.
all connections in list are switch to router respectively
Cat6A all around shielded cable 2ft in length and 10g connectors
1g port to 1g port 950mbps
2.5g port to 1g port 950mbps
2.5g port to 2.5g port 750mbps
1g port to 2.5g port 950mbps
link aggregation LACP between 2x 1g ports to 2x 1g ports (first run only 850mpbs) ~500mbps average
i have xfinity so i am running on the latest firmware they provide to my cable/router combo....
Built in speedtest shows ~540mbps
am i missing something here?
should ignore these speedtest results and just use the 2.5g to 2.5g?
Looking for some insite or advice.

Re: CAX80 Ethernet aggregation and 2.5g port SLOW
Kinda hard to tell if this is a modem or other issue. You might test with two 2.5Gb LAN adapters to help rule out the SFP at some point.
I presume since your only seeing just over 900Mpbs, that using the 2.5Gb WAN port is all thats needed and LAG isn't really needed. I have same ISP speed and don't use LAG. Mine in modem only mode though.

Re: CAX80 Ethernet aggregation and 2.5g port SLOW
using the sfp to the regular gig port gives full speeds... i just get lower speeds with the 2.5g port to 2.5g and the LAG(the lag is absolutly rediculously unreliable speeds)... which if things keep going the way they are.. in another 6 months they will up my speed again above 1g...
i have tried 2 different sfp adapters, both sfp ports...
my house has a large number of devices and lots of 4k streaming.. so i was working to maximize network capabilites... don't have any 2.5g devices besides the switch...
is it most likely that since my sfp+ port is only 1/10g that the sfp+ adapter model that is suppose to do the adapting is just crap?
amazon purchased adapter stated compatible....
