CM1000 internet drops and uncorrectable errors
Discovery for internet drops and uncorrectable codewords. I tried several ways to overcome the aforementioned troubles. I did read several discussions that help lead me to my conclusion.
1. Do not mount or set your modem within three feet of any wireless router. It appears that the radio signals generated in the router can and do interfere with the proper operation of the CM1000 modem. Others may say the modem is shielded against this but I will argue that is not true.
2. I suggest you use at least CAT 6 or better ethernet cable from the modem to the router get the best performance.
I placed my modem 3 feet below the wireless router and now no longer have internet drops or codeword errors. Yes I was surprised too. But since this has gone on for 4-5 weeks in a row I believe this is the solution we have been needing for our modems. I was restarting my wifi (modem and router) everyday since I had installed it. I bought a new router because I thought that was the problem. But that was debunked as well. Space is needed between these devices to prevent RF interference between them. My network has been performing at or above expectations since.. I hope this will work for you as well.

Re: CM1000 internet drops and uncorrectable errors
6 feet would be recommended in between the modem and a wifi router.
Thanks for letting us know.
Enjoy.
