CM400 V2.0 hardware V1.01.13 firmware
My modem crashes every 30 minutes or so. It varies on the time.
I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem.
I have comcast internet. I have the economy plan. The cable comes into my modem.
There is an ethernet cat5 cable going from my modem to a linksys E1200 wireless router.
There is an ethernet cat5 cable going from the wireless router to my computer
On the modem all lights are green except the ethernet is ambe and flashing.
When the flashing stops I know if is crashing and will reboot itself.
How do I troubleshoot futher?

Re: CM400 crashes and restarts
Hello Xsenergy10
Try going to 192.168.0.1 in your web browser it should bring up a login box you want to type in admin and password after your logged in click advanced then administrator then Event log and tell me what errors are showing up in the log after a crash.

Re: CM400 crashes and restarts
I did that before, but I don't know what the error messages mean.
I get the same two each time:
Time not established - critical (3) - no ranging response received - T3 time-out
Date/time - warning (5) - MIMO event MIMO: Stored MIMO=-1 post cfg file MIMO=-1
Do you know what the error means and how to resolve?
Thanks

yes T3 timeouts is a issue with the cable connection so you may need a cable tech from your ISP to come check things out here is a article showing what these mean.
