Just got the cm500v voice cable modem because I needed a modem with a phone jack. Hooked it up and phone don't work. It says to contact comcast xinfinity, but I already go through charter for phone and internet, what do I do?

   Buy a modem which works with your ISP?

   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the Product Data Sheet.  Read.  Look for
"Certified to work with XFINITY(R) from Comcast" or "Works with
XFINITY(R) from Comcast".

   Ask your ISP which modems they support, and then get one of those?
