Errors and intermittent drops
Recently I have been experiencing intermittent drop from my internet. There has also been somewhat recent outages from my isp (comcast) with the status only saying "Technician in your area". I'm not sure if my issues are due to this tech working on any lines or anything, but my modem is stationary and maybe going 2-3 years old. A few weeks ago the lights on the modem would show all stable green, but recently since all this my upstream light is always flashing and my ethernet is flashing amber and never green.
I'm just looking for some guidance/help since im sure comcast will take a while and try to charge me, I would like to avoid that if my modem (which I own) is going bad for some reason.

Re: Errors and intermittent drops
Your logs are indicating line issues and so are the way your upstream channels have locked.
Check your coax line for kinks, damage, old/bad/cheap/corroded/loose connections and replace them if you have them.
Remove any splitters/signal attenuators if you have them.
Preferably, move the modem to right where the coax comes into the home to prevent wiring in the home being the issue.
then test it. If you still are getting the same errors, then comcast needs to check the line. Comcast does charge if the issue is internal to the home which is why I said move the modem. Helps to prevent the issue if its inside the house.
