Hide SSID for my CMD31t modem
I currently have a router for my modem but I am also able to wirelessly connect to the modem itself. How do I hide the SSID for my modem so that no one can connect to it? I have tried connecting to it by resetting and going to http://www.routerlogin.net and http://192.168.0.1 but since it is not a router neither of these will work for me (even when I am on my wireless modem connection).

Here is the link to the manual for the modem/router https://www.netgear.com/support/product/CMD31T.aspx#GettingStarted_CommonTopics from saw 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 username and password I know you said that tried 129.168.0.1 maybe the manual will help.
Connect the computer direct to the modem not to the new router to access the modem.
You should be to turn off the modem's wifi.

Re: Hide SSID for my CMD31t modem
I know thats why I said turn off the wifi of the modem even with ssid turned off you can be hack if the party doing this has time and the program if you turn off the wifi no more problem signal to worry about again but the choice is their's to make.
The world able did not make to the last statement it should read You should be able to turn off the modem's wifi.
