Invalid Serial Number
I've had my modem for a couple of years, and have used it successfully in the past.
I moved about a year ago and no longer used my modem, but now need to set up an internet connection again. I called up cox and gave them my modem information and they told me the serial number is invalid. I've used this modem before with cox so I have no idea what the problem is.
I just registered the modem on this site (though I guessed for purchase date when I signed up) and it seems to have worked just fine. Anybody know if there's anything I can do about this?

Re: Invalid Serial Number
Hello spruce-bruce
You would have to work with the ISP on that there is a issue in there billing system not registering the device.

Re: Invalid Serial Number
Whoever I was talking to at Cox told me they were unable to do anything. I'm perfectly willing to accept that this is on their end, but I'm frustrated that both you and cox are telling me there's nothing either of you can do.
Either way I bought a new modem two days ago and have moved on with my life.
