Is C3700 Modem/ Router compatible with Orbi AC12000 Dual-band WiFi System?
I tried setting up last night but ran into all kinds of problems.
- First, after just following the Orbi app's instructions, I was told my router wasn't compatible. (Possible. But not sure how to confirm?).
- Second, I decided to turn off "router mode" on my C3700 and try again. This got me further along in the Orbi app install, but ultimately failed at "checking internet connection" step. (It's true there was no internet coming out of the C3700 even though the Orbi router was connected via ethernet and turned on [as confirmed by modem light]).
Any tips.....I am a novice so apologies in advance for dumb responses to your comments.

Which orbi version do you have?
Once you switch the C3700 to modem only mode, let it reboot, then power it off and disconnect the coax and any ethernet devices from it. also power off your orbi system.
Let it sit 2 minutes.
Then connect coax back to the modem and power it on.
give it a couple minutes to fully boot.
then connect port 1 on the c3700 to wan port on orbi.
power orbi on and give it a couple minutes.
Then try setup on it. I wouldn't use the app. If you have a pc/laptop, i'd hardwire into it for setup. Tends to go smoother/faster versus using the app in my experience.
