MBS Speed on my C6300 Cable Modem Router
The cable company I use is sending a signal of 300 MBS, but my speed test is only showing 57 MBS
I called Netgear after the Cable Company said the problem is my router/modem and NetGear wants to
charge me $50.00 for a technical service contract. I've been told that my WIFI isnt on 5G and that I need
to change that. I don't know how because when I search for available networks I don't see which one it is.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Re: MBS Speed on my C6300 Cable Modem Router
How are you testing speeds?
Wired? wireless?
what wired speed do you get?
What device are you testing on?
What 5ghz speeds do you get?

Who told you that?
The C6300 certainly broadcasts 5 GHz. (There are two wifi LEDs on the front of the router, one for each band.) Not all wifi clients can see 5 GHz.
Your description provides too little information to do anything more than guess what is going on at your end.
