Netgear C7100V V2.01.42 Losing Internet Multiple Times a Day
For the past two weeks we have been losing internet on our C7100V. WiFi and cable TV never go down. We have to unplug the modem to reset the internet.
Things that I have tried to rule out;
1. Verified that from the DEMARC to the modem all coax connections are secure.
2. Turned off UpNp
3. Turned off all Services except Firewall/Detections/IPSec
4. Turned off remote management
5. Verified that no external ports are showing via external scan
6. HVAC closet where it resides is cool.
7. Guest Network turned off
8. Ready share turned off
9. Modem is on a UPS

You might get better and quicker replies, and find other answers, over in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
No need to repost there, unless you want to – that will just clutter up the place with duplicated messages – but you might find advice related to your hardware.
I have asked the Netgear moderator to move your message.
Just another user with a set of boilerplate macros.

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.

Re: Netgear C7100V V2.01.42 Losing Internet Multiple Times a Day
They verified that nothing is wrong up to modem. I'm seriously thinking it is the modem because when it loses internet, I set up a continous ping to modem and their is nothing also the internal web interface is down. Physically looking at the modem all the lights are solid and nothing is blinking. Only way to bring it back is a hard reboot. Ideas? Dying modem?

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
You might try disabling the Wif radios on the modem and see if the modem still looses it's connection. IF it doesn't, possible wifi interferences maybe a cause. If it still does, then seems the modem maybe faulty and needs replaced.
