Netgear C7100V and Google WiFi

Hello,
I just installed a Netgear C7100V and formerly had just a cable modem in front of my Google WiFi router. I wanted to put the Netgear into bridge mode and just connect to Google as my WiFi. After putting the Ntegaer into bridge mode, I connected a cable from a LAN ethernet port on Netgear to the WAN port on my Google. But I did not get any internet connectivity. The Netgear showed bridge mode status.
If I leave the Netgear in router mode and perform the same connection, Google does get internet connectivity. I also did try plugging into a LAN port on Google with same results.
I know I can disable the wifi on the Netgear but this seems to be a bandaid option. Why wouldnt I get internet through the Netgear?
Thanks !

2 question:
1. Do you have MULTIPLE devices connect behind C7100V in Bridge mode?
2. Did you switch off WIFI before entering bridge mode?

Re: Netgear C7100V and Google WiFi
Hello,
I had a laptop which I was using to administer the modem. It was connected by Lan cable to netgear. I had no devices connected via wifi.
I had only the laptop cable connection to the netgear, the cable to goggle was unplugged.
I entered the command to change to bridge mode and modem rebooted with no wifi enabled. I then plugged in Google cable which had no internet.
Do you have any specific instructions on how to get the modem into bridge mode and allow Google to have internet connection?
Thanks

Re: Netgear C7100V and Google WiFi
the MOST IMPORTANT thing with bridge mode is that you can ONLY ONE device on the Ethernet port. If you connect your laptop, google WIFI Will NOT recieve Public WAN IP.
#1. Use laptop and turn it to bridge mode. (switch off C7100V WIFI as well before turning it into bridge mode)
#2. TURN OFF C7100V and REMOVE the Laptop connected to C7100V
#3. Now connect JUST and JUST THE GOOGLE WIFI behind C7100V (Repeating again ***ONLY LAN DEVICE BEHIND C7100V**)
#4. now POWER ON the C7100V
#5. Connect Laptop Behind GOOGLE WIFI and you should have WAN IP and internet.
If it does not work, Please post logs from google wifi and ipconfig/ifconfig logs from laptop...

Thanks very much! This worked perfectly. I wish that was clearer in the documentation.
