Netgear products have serious security vulnerabilities
Not surprising to hear! Netgear products have serious security vulnerabilities and my I.T. consultancy in Philadelphia no longer recommends Netgear cable modem routers. Netgear doesn't seem to care about support. CERN even issued a directive to discontinue use of Netgear products until the company had a patch. If anyone is aware of a patch or firmware upgrade, I would like to hear!

Re: Netgear products have serious security vulnerabilities
What NG product are you referring too?
What vulnerabilities are you referring too?:
ALL Cable modem FW is updated by ISP. There is no user updatable modems. NG develops and then hands off builds to ISP. ISP then do there own testing and certification of FW builds on there networks before they push out to users modems. FYI, some ISP DO NOT update user owned modems. You'll need to consult with your ISP about this.
