Hi-
I have a Nighthawk C7100V & APC BX1000M UPS on an iMac.
I've plugged the usb cable from the UPS to the modem, so the UPS can signal the computer to shut down during a power outage. I open "smb://readyshare", and see the flash drive plugged into one usb port, but not the UPS in the other port.
Is it possible to do this? Otherwise I'll have to get a 12 foot USB extention cable.
Thanks for your help,
Mike Beacom

No, that won't work. You'll need to connect the USB cable to the iMac.
The APC PowerChute software doesn't run on MacOS. APC does provide some info on how to get the shutdown to work here: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA159690/
