Nighthawk CAX30 required login for internet
I have a brand new CAX30, and when I hooked it up and got it activated by my ISP, I was unable to access the internet without logging in. This is after I put in the pass for the wifi connection. When I bring up a browser, it tells me I need to log in (like connecting to some of the department store guest wifi's), but doesn't give any user/pass or button to click OK. How can I turn that off?
Thanks, Jchopp

Have a screen capture of what your seeing in your browser?
Does this happen with other web browsers and web site addresses you try?
Does this happen with other devices, phones, pads or other PCs?
How are you connected to the router? Wired or wireless?
Whos is our ISP?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?

Re: Nighthawk CAX30 required login for internet
Thanks for the fast reply, unfortunately, mine will not be as quick. Due to the nature of my work from home, I had to revert back to the old modem. I won't be able to get back to setup this one again for about a week or so.
So, the first and last question, I will have to answer then. For the other questions:
I tried Edge and Safari, and tried to connect to different addresses (Google, Facebook, etc.), both wireless and wired with same results. ISP is Cox. This happened on my Dell laptop and Iphone. My table (Samsung) just simply would not connect to the internet.
Thanks again for the quick response. I will get the other two questions answered as soon as I can.

Re: Nighthawk CAX30 required login for internet
I would be sure the ISP got the modem fully associated with there services.
Might turn OFF the modem for 1 minute then back on.
Only log in page what could be seen is the modems log in web page to enter its management page. Other than this, all other pages should come up with out any log in.

Factory reset it during the install.
Make sure during the install you meet the minimum password requirements.
I've seen that forced before when you're not meeting the minimum requirements.
