Random disconnects of internet - AC1900 C7000v2 1.02.14
Model C7000v2, Firmware 1.02.14
I have tried several of the solutions found here without making any difference. When I loose internet I remain connected the same SSID. I notice this has happened when my video stops or I'm disconnected from my VPN for work. Of the times I have noticed it seems to be happening anout 10 times a day, maybe more. At this point I'm not sure what to do so I'm asking for help here.
Attached is my system info.
Thanks....

Does this happen with wired and wireless devices?
Try you PC with a wired connection.
Be sure there are not coax cable line splitters between the modem and ISP service box.
Contact the ISP and have them check the signal and line quality up the modem?

Re: Random disconnects of internet - AC1900 C7000v2 1.02.14
Thanks for the reply!
Problem is wireless only.
Direct line. Also, this replaced a previous model/router on the same line without ever having this problem that was noticeable.
Do you know if there is there any type of logging I turn on that might capture some useful info. about when this happens?
ISP is Comcast. I haven't contacted them because there were no problems until I got the modem/router. My speedtest is still where it should be and the router says the connection is good.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Might check under Advanced/Administration to see if logging is available here.

Attached are my wireless settings.
2.4 was Auto, changed to 6
5 was 153, changed 60
It may take awhile to get results.
Thanks.

Re: Random disconnects of internet - AC1900 C7000v2 1.02.14
I would use channels 36 thru 48 on 5Ghz...Some devices may not be able to use channel 60 as this is a DFS channel.
Any other wifi neighbors near by?

Ok, I'll change it. thnx.
No one. I live on top of a ridge on a dead end road. When I look in network & internet settings there is only my two SSID's.

I wonder why the 5ghz default was channel 153? Until today I always left it at that.

Re: Random disconnects of internet - AC1900 C7000v2 1.02.14
Will do. So far I have not noticed any disconnects but I'm not doing anything that requires a constant connection at the moment. Probably won't be back online at work until Tuesday, that's when this is the most annoying. VPN drops, sign-on to the IBM iSeries is cancelled all the virtual machines I'm logged into are gone...
Thanks.
