Slow internet
So I moved recently and the house I was in before had no internet issues. But now in the new house my internet drops, slows and fluctuates throughout the day. We're on the same street with the same service but the signal will slow down to less than 2 Mbps, even with a wired connection. I have no clue what going on, and neither does comcast apparently because their technichians say everythings fine. I really do not want to use comcasts equpment.
Router: R6700 V2
Modem: CM1000
Internet: Extreme 400 (comcast)

Re: Slow internet
Hello,
Similar issue. I have bought NETGEAR C3000-100NAS N300 rounter for Comcast Xfinity internet. Note, technician was very nice. He came and took care of the cable and connected my device. Next, he spent 1 hour waiting for some data to be transfered, whatever. His explanation didn't make any sense and I suspect he was using his phone to run some predefined tests and those test were giving him errors. I suspect that the speed of internet was not up to specs. Naturarly he blaimed my router citing Comcast rules that he would not get paid for this job if all test don't come green, and I agreed to take Xfinity router for some time. I am not happy with this because they will charge me $13 per month to rent the modem. Why can't I have my own?
Xfinity device: Voice and Data Modem ARRIS GROUP, INC. TG3482G
Netgear device: NETGEAR C3000-100NAS N300
The bottom line, there router would give me 9.95-68.4(N=3) Mbps upload speed and C300 Netgear 14.9 to 20.2 (N=3).
Where can I find all the log files DarrenM has asked for so I can provided you guys with some information to work with?
