Spectrum compatible Cable Modem

I'm currently shopping for a new cable modem for my Spectrum service and wanted to get some input on two different models of Netgear modems. I don't have voice service and don't need a router so I've narrowed the choices to the CM1000 and CM1100. I also found a reference online to a CM1200 model that I don't find on Netgear's product pages. Any opinions on which modem to purchase?

Thanks!

Re: Spectrum compatible Cable Modem

Any of the CM models will work if your ISP supports them.

You need a router behind the CM modems as they don't support router or wifi. So if you have a router already, then either one of thes models will connect up to the external router.

The CM1200 is mostly meant for businesses, not home. Depends on what ISPs will supprot for it:

The 1100 is a good modem FYI.

Re: Spectrum compatible Cable Modem

I am considering using a 3-point Google WiFi mesh network with it.

Re: Spectrum compatible Cable Modem

Any non-gateway router will work with a CM modem. So yes, that would work.
