Unable to connect to the Router setup after changing IP & factory reset (WNDR3700v2)

I have been unable to change SSID & password after resetting the device, inspite of resetting several times.

I have done this in the past, but presently it just does not accept changes even after following the correct procedure

(Netgear genie - basic  - wireless setup - apply)

Have you tried accessing the router admin pages using a Web browser, typically at http://192.168.1.1 ?
