Unmanaged switch need a router?
Hi All,
Sorry if I did not set up this discussion properly. New to the community and new to networking.
I have a cable modem and a Netgear GS108Tv2 switch.
In order to use/connect multiple devices to the switch, MUST I have a router as well?

Most likely. If your ISP has given you a block of IP addresses, then
you could get by with no (NAT) router, but, more typically, if you're
getting a single (external) IP address, then you'd need a NAT router (or
equivalent) to connect multiple devices to the outside world (at that
single IP address).

Got it. Thank you!
I know this is a Netgear community, but do you happen to know if a Ruckus Zoneflex 7363 can act as a router?

Its maker calls it an "AP" (access point), so I'd guess not.
