Using C6300 in Router-Only Mode?
My C6300 "died". The internet from the coaxial cable is working as per Comcast's technician, but the unit is not able to see the signal and not able to provide internet connection (both wired and wireless). Now that I have a new modem, I am thinking of connecting the defective modem router to it so I can broadcast wifi. I'd like to check with you guys if this is even possible at all, before I send the modem router unit for recycling. Thank you in advance.

Hi arthurdelrosari,
There is no way to setup the Cable modem router act as router. The unit doesn't have WAN port where you will connect the new modem.
You can use the modem/router as Access Point only.
