What would work best for upgrading my network
Hello community!!
Currently have a Netgear CG3000D. It's starting to get tapped out with multiple devices being attached. It constantly has to be reset because it will randomly deny access to random cell phones and or computers. I upgraded one of my computers that are wireless to see if it would be able to get around the same speed my hardwired comp is getting. LAWL... yea right. I'm pushing 100+ DL speeds on my wired connection while other devices are lucky to pass 20mb. The Dual band N card I have on one comp is getting around mid 30's while the newer AC1200 Netgear usb is in the higher 50's.
Connected Devices:
3-4 Cell Phones
2-5 Computers (4 Wireless)
1 PS3
2 Smart Tv
2 Tablets
Wanted to know what would be the best route to take in terms of performance of handling all the wifi devices simultaneously without bottle necking any performance Either going with anoter all in one Modem+Router or getting a seperate setup?? It seems like the all in one has a much lower price tag on it vs going seperate due to seeing some modems run upwards of $200 and routers at around $3-400. Stability should be a number one factor in any of these suggestions too.
Thanks

Re: What would work best for upgrading my network
Hello Soult3k
For your setup you may be better off going with a modem and a Nighthawk router because you have a lot of devices on the network it may be more stable for you plus if you have a separate router you will get firmware updates faster since the combo units all the firmware is pushed out via the ISP.
