Which mesh setup
I've been using the Netgear C7800 modem/router combo for over 3 years it has worked great but there are a few slow spots throughout my house which is less than 2000 sq. ft. I want to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6. I use Cox gigablast and prefer not to rent their equipment. Should I setup Netgear Nighthawk mesh or Orbi mesh? Do I disable Wi-Fi on the moden/router? Any help would be greatly appreciates. Thank you. - Kevin

Re: Which mesh setup
I might recommend getting into a Modem only unit for the ISP services then get into a external wifi MESH system.
Depending on size of home, you may want something to fit your needs.
Wifi signals on MESH systems can't be disabled.

Re: Which mesh setup
The C7800 has a modem only mode. That way you could use it as a stand alone modem.
Or you could leave it in router mode and put the mesh system in access point mode (prevents a double nat). This would give you a backup wireless or even just a wireless to offload devices close to it on. You'd want to make sure to seperate out the wireless channels to prevent interference.
Then you could use the orbi/mk system for coverage further out.
