Was looking for help to get my phone working. We have mediacom and they don't support this modem. I don't get a dial tone and they can't help me.
My main question is will this have anything to do with it not working?

As far as I'm aware, phone service from mediacom is only supported on one of mediacom's provided/rented modems.
