Much as the logs can be useful, it helps to have a description of what is going on. Your subject is thin on details.

 

Which is the "download light". I can't recall any LEDs with that label. 

 

Do you mean the Upstream/Downstream LEDs?

 

Many of the LEDs – Internet, WiFi, LAN – blink when there is traffic. 

 

The CAX80 is a cable modem/router. What dies your ISP say? Those logs look like a connection problem.

 

There are some serious experts on cable modems around here. While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

Your logs indicate line issues. 

do you also have a screensnip of the cable connections page? that gives us an idea of what to point your at prior to contacting the ISP to fix the line because sometimes the issues is internal to the home (and some isp's charge to fix those)

Here's some basic things to check. 

Start with removing any amplifiers, signal attenuators, or splitters from the coax.
From there check the line for kinks, damage, moisture in the line.
Check the connectors for improperly made ends, foil touching the copper coax line, loose connections, bad/old/cheap connectors, or corroded connections. Replace them if you do.
If you can, simply connect the modem right where the coax comes into the home. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue. And some ISP’s charge if the wiring issue is in the home. So this helps prevent this.

Can really give you some good advice off that. 

 

The whole reason for asking is you can compare upstream/downstream values and it gives you an idea if it might be coming from a splitter, amplifier, etc that could be causing the issues. Without that, your limited to having the ISP check it.

You've got a little dip in the power levels. They're fairly consistent but have 2 channels still within spec and without errors. But with that and your logs, its still indicating a line issue

If you keep getting drops and errors in the logs and you've done what you can to check the cabling, then the isp might need to check it.

1. Is this over wireless? wired? 

2. How are you tracing/checking this? 

3. what firmware is on the router?

4. do you have screensnips of the cable connection page and event logs?
