I have the Netgear Nighthawk CM1100 Modem , it works fantastic but the problem im having is my LAN 1 port works fine it allows me to connect my cat 6 ethernet cable to my Netgear nighthawk wifi 6 mesh system, my other LAN 2 port on the CM1100 does not work or sends any signal out. i would like to use it , if anybody has any solutions for it?

There's only 2 ways to use that port.
1. have a router that supports wan link aggregation. Meaning you combine ports 1 & 2 into one connection to your router. most routers don't have wan aggregation.
2. have an isp that supports multiple public ip addresses. Most ISP's don't support this.
So for the average user, port 2 isn't useful. Its designed to allow isp's and users to have speeds >1gig service.
Its not a router so you can't hook 2 devices to it as that'd require routing function or 2 public ip addresses.
