nighthawk C7000v2 5G wifi speed is slower than the old C6300 model?

I recently just upgraded my Xfinity to 600M and felt my old C6300 router may reach the limitation of receiving this speed. So I purchased a new nighthawk C7000 v2  and expected it could improve my internet experience. However, I found when I activated this C7000v2 router to Xfinity, it only delivers 5G wifi at a maximum speed between 200-250 Mbps. Compared to my old C6300 which delivers 5G wifi at least 400 Mbps, the new C7000v2 is pretty disappointed me a lot. I have examined this repeatedly by changing the two routers, and by using iPhone 12 and MacBook pro for speed testing, and many times factory resetting. All these experiments lead to the same result, that the C7000v2 delivers a significantly slow speed via its 5G wifi than my old C6300 router. I wondered dose I miss anything in optimizing this "new" router? Should this new C7000V2 router give faster 5G wifi than the C6300, according the their specs?

Some recommended settings on your C7000v2

Smart Connect should be disabled?  Under Advanced -> Setup -> Wireless Setup

Dynamic QOS should be disabled?  Under Quality of Service.

Traffic Meter should be disabled?  Under Advanced -> Advanced Setup -> Traffic Meter

Access Control should be disabled?  Under Advanced -> Security -> Access Control

IPv6 enabled?  If your ISP supports it, it should be enabled.  Under Advanced -> Advanced Setup -> IPv6

Is the 2.4 GHz channel selection on Auto?  Try manual settings for 1, 6, or 11.

Is the 5 GHz channel selection on Auto?  Try manual settings for 48.

The hardware designs for both the 6300 and 7000 series of devices are several years old.  A newer design may perform better.

Based on your ISP, check the firmware version on your C7000v2 here:

How are you measuring throughput?  Recommend the Ookla native application for your operating system.

the main difference from the c6300 and the c7000 is the c7000 has a better 2.4ghz radio and a better modem.

The 5ghz is rated the same. You should see pretty similar speeds out of the 5ghz.

You might try the recommendations from @Kitsap
