I have the AC1900 Nighthawk Modem/Router and trying to understand if I can set up a static route in this particular model?

Use another device? Use the C7100V as a modem-only, and get a
competent router to use as a router?
Why do you need static routes? (I use them on my D7000 to get to
odd-ball devices/subnets like a SIMH-emulated VAX, or an old Raspberry
Pi Zero which has only USB networking, or the second Ethernet port on a
Mac Pro, or the like.)

Need a static route for a VPN I'm configuring that would give out IP addresses in a different IP address/subnet range.
