ASUS RT3100 not connecting to Cable Modem C3700

There was a Xfinity outage due to weather and when service came back I had to reset both the cable modem and router. I had to call Xfinity to reset / test the modem and now have WiFi working - but the ASUS router has a no Internet connection even after several restarts/resets.
The netgear WAN is set to Router Access and I cannot figure out why the ASUS router does not have connectivity. Is there some other Netgear settings that I have have overlooked?
Would appreciate some suggestions.
Thanks

That address should work if the C3700 is configured as a
modem+router. As a (DOCSIS) modem-only, you might try "192.168.100.1".

Either bridge the C series modem or keep the C series modem in router and and set the asus router for AP mode.

Re: ASUS RT3100 not connecting to Cable Modem C3700
Thanks @FURRYe38 I was able to connect to the C3700 (router Mode) and ASUS (AP mode) but my original plan was to take adv of the ASUS as the router.. what I did
- Disabled the C3700 router mode
- Enabled the ASUS as router
but the ASUS does not connect to the model - solid red light after reboot.. I have attached my settings doc; I must be missing something in the modem settings..
Thanks

Re: ASUS RT3100 not connecting to Cable Modem C3700
The Router Mode feature on the C modem needs to be set to NO. This will bridge the C modem setting it for Modem only, then configure your ASUS router for router mode, not AP mode.

Re: ASUS RT3100 not connecting to Cable Modem C3700
@FURRYe38 Sorry for the delay - I finally got to setup up the Netgear in bridge mode with my ASUS RT-3100 - everything is working fine except I cannot loginto the Netgear modem - the ASUS has a WAN IP that's 24.30.xx.xx ...
Wired directly to the Netgear also does not accept 192.168.0.1 - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks
