Best replacement for timewarner / spectrum gigabit
What is the best cable modem for replacing the ISP modem for spectrum / timewarner cable gigabit internet?
I'm also looking into replacing the wifi router - looking with something that can support a lot of devices and has excellent range.
Any ideas?

Re: Best replacement for timewarner / spectrum gigabit
buy a seperate modem and router.
Modem such as CM600 or CM700 (dont buy CM1000 for spectrum as it is currently not supported).
Router such as R7800 or RBK50 Mesh router.

Re: Best replacement for timewarner / spectrum gigabit
Thanks for the reply. I"m surprised I couldn't use the CM1000 with spectrum since the modem that spectrum gives for gigabit customers is a Technicolor TC4400 and seems to have comparible features.
Features at a glance are:
DOCSIS® 3.1 compliant
Backward compatible with (Euro)DOCSIS® 3.0
2 x 2 OFDM(A) bonded channels in DOCSIS 3.1 mode
32 x 8 bonded channels in DOCSIS 3.0 mode
Switchable diplexer for upstream and downstream frequency up to 204 MHz split
1.2 GHz full band capture tuner
Built in RF spectrum analyzer
2 GE LAN ports
IPv4, IPv6 DS-Lite
Designed to meet the latest ECO standards

Re: Best replacement for timewarner / spectrum gigabit
spectrum did not certify CM1000 yet. they say they are not ready for D3.1 yet.
so, we would prefer customers not to buy them and get dissapointed if it does not work or spectrum wont support it.
