C3000 N300 modem/router won't allow 2 wired lan connections
I have a wired lan connection for a security camera DVR on my C3000 cable modem/router. When I tired to add a Liftmaster internet gateway garage door control (also wired) to the second ethernet port, the router would not recognize it. So I disconnected the DVR and the gateway worked fine. When I reconnected the DVR the gateway quit working. Either system works normally alone but the router will not recognize both systems. Any suggestions?

Hello Pete51
Could be some type of overlapping happening have you reserved IP address for each system and done all the proper port forwarding?

Re: C3000 N300 modem/router won't allow 2 wired lan connections
That was my guess too but the router wouldn't save the changes. I called netgear tech support and after nearly three hours of trying they told me to just buy a new router. I did that and the new Netgear router was defective. I've returned it and will never buy another Netgear product. The products don't work and their support is worthless
