C3000 as base station
I have a new C3000-100NAS that doesn't quite have the range I want. Luckily, I have an old WNDR3300 and am trying to use this as a repeater.
I've made sure these four things match on both devices: SSID, mode, channel, and security. I can enable the "Wireless Repeater" function on the WNDR3300, but cannot find a setting for the C3000 to be the master/base station.
This may be more straightforward than I am making it. Any suggestions for making these two devices talk to each other as base station (C3000) and repeater (WNDR3300)?

If you can run an Ethernet cable (or equivalent) between these two
devices, then configuring the WNDR3300 as a wireless access point
(rather than as a repeater) might make sense. (Probably better on a
different radio channel, however, in any case.)
"Or equivalent" would include a pair of Powerline gizmos.
