I would like to set up my C 3700 modem and router as a modem only and connected to another Netgear router how can I set up the sea 3700 to act as a modem only

for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look for "Cable Your Modem

just set it in BRIDGE mode from ADVANCED settings.
