C6300 5Ghz Not Working and no firmwear updates available

I have noticed that the 5Ghz band on my modem/router combo does not work anymore.

I have only had this unit for 3 months and I have tried everything from unplugging the device to contacting my ISP and even searching for firmwear updates online. Nothing has come through to solve this problem.

 

My iPad also no longer connects to the internet, although it recognizes and "appears" to connect to the correct wifi network.

 

HELP!!!

Hello OkW2030

 

You could test to see if the ISP is blocking the wireless connection or if its a hardware issue. If you factory reset the unit but do not plug it into the cable line then see if the 5ghz band shows up and see if you can connect if so try plugging the cable line back into the modem and see if it stops working if so the modem is coded to block it by the ISP if not then could be a hardware issue and you will have to contact support.
