C7100v
I currently have the C7100V cable router and I just bought the mesh wifi MK6W how do I go about adding it to my C7100V. I am trying to make a better wifi network for my 2 story home to ensure I have steady connection for my camera and other smart devices. Should I just turn off the wifi on the C7100V and just use the mesh for wifi or do I also need to place the C7100v in bridge mode?

Re: C7100v
You have 2 options that you could use.
1. put the C7100V in modem only mode. Pretty simple to do.
2. Leave the C7100V in router mode but put the MK6W in access point mode. This leaves the C7100v managing routing functions with the MK6W acting as an access point. You can either disable the wifi on the C7100v or leave it enabled. I usually tell people to leave it enabled and make sure it has a different SSID and is on a different wireless channel to prevent interference. Then you either have a backup wifi, a wifi you can use for IoT devices, Or even a wifi that you can connect devices that are close to it on. A way to offload the MK6W system. 🙂
Kind of up to you which router you choose. I'd lean towards option 2
