CATCH-22 with CG3000DV2: N0 Firmware Update Available From ISP Nor NETGEAR!
NETGEAR Support says on their website that only my ISP (COX Comm) can update my modem/router's firmware. However, my ISP (COX) says that NETGEAR no longer permits COX access to these devices to perform the firmware update!
A classic Catch-22, "He Said-She Said" or Pass-the-Buck scenario!
I am quite capable of doing the update myself if I just had the most recent file (firmware version V3.01.16). But NETGEAR wants to charge me for support just to download the most recent firmaware file? That's a buncha BS!

Hello BitJOX
There is no way to manually update the firmware on a cable modem it is always pushed out via the ISP no matter what companies modem that you own. We do not have a firmware that you can download and update yourself.
