CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

MODEM-ROUTER purchased from costco in May 2022.

Problem started 2 weeks ago and keeps happening every few minutes.

I work from home and can't have any type of teams or zoom meeting without losing sound every minute for 5-10 sec...

I have performed reset, updated firmware, renamed my wifi networks...

Same problem happens form any device.

My ISP confirmed everything is fine on their end.

I need help urgently.

Thanks

Re: CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

Happens on wired devices as well?

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.

https://kb.netgear.com/30008/How-do-I-view-or-clear-the-event-logs-on-my-NETGEAR-cable-modem-or-mode...

Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

Thank you so much for the support. I just changed the channels as suggested and issue continues.
Note that I have 3 WIFI neighbors - their network names are very different.
Cable type and setup has not been changed since may when it was working perfectly (issue started couple weeks ago)

Re: CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

Well power is a bit on the low side but with in specs.

Zeros for Correct and un-correctables.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed.

Try reducing the WiFi power on the modem from 100% to 50%. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Can you find out what channels your Neighbors are using?

Set channels 1 and 40 or 11 and 48 or 149 for the wifi radios.

Please post a copy of the Event Logs as well here.

Re: CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

Thanks again.

I did change to 50% but issue continues - same for the channels.

Manufacturing reset has been done last week.

I don't have an easy way to get the channel from my neighbors...

Here is the log event:

Re: CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

You some Criticals that the ISP needs to review and resolve.

I would have the ISP online with you while checking there logs and signal if they can see the modem go off line...

Re: CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

So after weeks doing trouble shooting, having my ISP provider technician checking everything, he confirmed that it was a malfunction from the CAX30. He ultimately demonstrated by replacing with their own equipment - the issue was fixed.

So I went back to Cosco yesterday, bought the same CAX30, swapped with the previous one and now everything works perfectly (with same set ups, names...).

Magic question: how do I activate the warranty on my malfunctioning CAX30 to be reimbursed? It was purchased from Cosco 8months ago.

Thank you for your help

Mikael

Re: CAX30 - losing signal every few minutes

I would ask Costco to see if they would take the faulty unit back for a refund. I've heard Costco is good in this area.

If not, you'll need to contact NG support.
