CAX80 and VPN
Just installed this new CAX80 cable modem/router. A VPN can be installed and I contacted Express VPN and
they said they have not tested their product with this new modem. So their only answer to me was it will not work.
I will find out tonight when I try to make it work. I will buy a different VPN before I will spend money for another very expensive modem. Anyone know if Express VPN will work with the CAX80 Netgear Modem? This modem increased my online speed a lot. Usually it is not noticeable, but this is very easy to see. And I thought my old modem was not too bad.

Re: CAX80 and VPN
ExpressVPN actually installs 3rd party firmware to routers for support of their vpns. (they also have device specific vpns)
Modem/router combo devices have their firmware locked so you can't put 3rd party firmware on them.
So it isn't going to work.
You can install expressvpn to your devices to use it. Just not to the router
